FOR MORE THAN THREE DECADES, THE BAREISS GELOMAT HAS BEEN THE TRUSTED CHOICE FOR SOFTGEL CAPSULE HARDNESS TESTING. ITS PROVEN ACCURACY AND RELIABILITY HAVE MADE IT THE BENCHMARK INSTRUMENT FOR MANY OF THE WORLD’S LEADING SOFTGEL CAPSULE MANUFACTURERS.

Why Softgel Capsule Hardness Testing Matters

Softgel capsules may feel soft and elastic but ensuring their quality requires precise measurement and careful control. The right hardness is essential for maintaining capsule integrity throughout manufacturing, packaging, transportation and storage.

Born from close collaboration with Merck, the Bareiss Gelomat was developed specifically for these delicate dosage forms, the Gelomat combines precise force measurement, controlled testing conditions, and robust technology to deliver accurate and repeatable results—because even soft capsules need a little toughness behind the scenes.
